Deviate Cycles Warranty & Replacement Policy

Quick reminder: if you haven’t already, please register your bike.

Lifetime Frame Warranty

Our high-end carbon frames are designed to last, which is why we stand behind them with a lifetime warranty. We guarantee our frames to be free from defects in the materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the product. This warranty is valid for the lifetime of the original owner—not just the product—ensuring your coverage remains even if the model is discontinued.

Our warranty ensures peace of mind, but it comes with some important conditions.

We expect you to maintain your frame properly and use it within its intended limits. If our analysis—or your honesty—indicates abnormal loading from an accident, then our Crash Replacement Policy will apply (see below). Our engineering team has extensive expertise in carbon fibre analysis, and their decision is final.

Key Terms

  • Coverage: Applies only to manufacturing defects with the frameset and machined parts only.

  • Original Owner: Valid only for the original owner with proof of purchase.

  • Usage: Covers use within intended and appropriate limits as specified in the owner’s manual.

  • Exclusions: Does not cover wear and tear, paint damage beyond two years, or damage caused by improper use, maintenance, or impacts. (See "Exclusions" section below.)

  • Replacement: If a replacement is required, we will strive to provide a like-for-like frame. If unavailable, we may offer a comparable alternative.

Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • Wear and tear, including cable rub, friction damage, and "wear parts" (e.g., idler wheel and seals).

  • Paintwork manufacturing defects beyond the first 2 years.

  • Custom painting voids the entire frame warranty except when carried out by an authorised paintshop or where written authorisation is obtained from us. Where an authorised paint-shop is used, we take no liability for this work and will be not liable for any costs incurred due to a separate warranty claim, for example where re-painting may be required due to a replacement part.

  • Where clear protection is applied, this voids any warranty we supply on the paintwork including any damage to the existing paint occurring during removal or fitting .

  • Damage due to insufficient maintenance, improper assembly, or misuse (e.g., using incorrect parts, over-torquing bolts, or neglecting service intervals).

  • Damage caused by impacts, accidents, or extreme environmental exposure (e.g., rock strikes, liquid nitrogen, or blowtorches).

  • Professional competitive use, deliberate damage, or damage during transit.

  • Components not manufactured by Deviate Cycles (e.g. rear shocks).

  • Crash damage or transit-related damage (see our Crash Replacement Policy for details).

  • Excludes labour costs for stripping or rebuilding frames during the warranty process.

  • Does not cover import taxes or duties for replacements outside the UK.

Warranty Process

If you need to make a warranty claim:

  1. We may require the frame to be returned for inspection or request detailed photos.

  2. The frame must be stripped of all non-warranty components and cleaned before return.

  3. Shipping costs for inspection are your responsibility but will be refunded if the claim is approved. If the claim is declined, return shipping costs will apply.

  4. Our decision on warranty matters is final.

Your statutory rights are not affected. For questions or to make a claim, email us at info@deviatecycles.com. Please ensure you provide your proof of purchase, a detailed description of the fault and evidence in the form of photographs or a video.

We take pride in the quality and durability of our products. To give you peace of mind, we offer a Lifetime Frame Warranty, a Lifetime Bearing Replacement Programme and a Lifetime Crash Replacement Programme to the original owner*, subject to the terms and conditions outlined below.

Crash Replacement Programme

We offer a damage replacement policy in situations whereby our lifetime warranty does not apply. We will replace at minimal cost* any part that we manufacture that has become damaged during a crash or other riding situations including rock strikes and impact damage. To sum up - we do not intend to profit from your misfortune.

At our discretion we will extend this to situations whereby damage has been caused by misuse, poor maintenance and fitting (i.e. bearing seizing or over-torquing). Damage by 3rd parties will also be considered (i.e. attempted theft or an airline mishandling).

In exceptional circumstances and with documentary proof (i.e. police report) we may consider extending this policy to theft situations.

This policy is valid only for the original owner*. This policy does not apply where there is a policy in place to insure against the damage. Photos and other evidence may be required before a replacement is issued. Deviate Cycles will not be liable for any workshop costs associated with the claim i.e. the strip down or re-build of the replaced frame/components. You are liable for the cost of all shipping.

* Minimal cost is an endeavour not to profit from your misfortune. It will be calculated on a case by case basis and will cover the total manufacturing and supply cost to us of the affected component.

For questions or to request a crash replacement, email us at info@deviatecycles.com. Please ensure you provide your proof of purchase, a detailed description of the crash and evidence in the form of photographs or a video.

*If you are not the original owner, do get in touch at info@deviatecycles.com as we will review on a case-by-case basis for all of our warranty and replacement policies.
